Tobogganing, Cross-Country Skiing, Ice Skating

Toboggan fun in Salzburg and Bavaria -
Fun on two runners!

Ms. Holle shakes her blankets and prepares the basis for tobogganing pleasure. In Salzburg and Bavaria there are several possibilities to skate on natural sledges with two runners down to the valley. Since some toboggan runs are located in ski areas, Ms. Holle gets occasionally support from machine snow. This ensures the sled pleasure!

For those who do not want to walk all the way up, the ascent is usually possible via the lift as well. Illuminated toboggan runs can be found in Bavarian Gmain - Alpgarten, which is only 13 km away, or in Inzell - Forsthaus Adlgaß, reachable in just over half an hour's drive. Nothing can get in your way!

Cross-Country Skiing -
Amusement for epicures and sportspeople!

Comfortably explore the landscape in a classic style or specifically train endurance in a fast skating step: Cross-country skiing is and remains one of the most training-efficient sports!

In the neighboring Berchtesgaden there are more than 100 kilometers of cross-country trails, whereas the high-altitude trail on the Scharitzkehl in Berchtesgaden is one of the trails with guaranteed snow due to its altitude.

Ice Skating & Curling -
In summer the lakes, in winter the skating rinks.

Once the necessary thickness of ice is reached, the ice-skaters are awaited. In the city of Salzburg skating rinks are offered on the Mozartplatz and on the piazza at the Europark. Natural ice is found at Leopoldskroner Weiher and Salzachsee in Liefering. Artificial ice is offered by the ice rink in Wals, the skating hall in Bergheim and in the city of Salzburg with the ice arena Salz-

burg in the Volksgarten which provides skating fun on around 3,600 m2 covered ice rinks regardless of weather. Skill, technology and a good eye are desired: Wherever you can skate you will encounter curling riders as well, who pursue their hobby on designated tracks and often also on natural railways.
